Indicated cartridges blocked For M404, M406, M428 & M430 Devices-HP Firmware and compatible Supplies

When HP's latest update occurs, the printer will not print and will display the error message, “Indicated cartridges blocked for containing a non-HP chip. Event Code: 10.00.46.”

The update will occur automatically and without warning, and once updated, the change to HP OEM cannot be reversed. The most frustrating part is your cartridges (no matter how full) will be rendered useless and you will be forced to use HP brand toners.

On certain models the automatic updates can be turned off. Your printer will perform just fine without these updates as the rejection of compatibles is the only purpose for the update. The Firmware Affects The Following Printer Models:

• HP LaserJet Pro M404DN, M404DW, M404N

• HP LaserJet Pro MFP M428DW, M428FDN, M428FDW

• HP LaserJet Enterprise M406DN

• HP LaserJet Enterprise MFP M430F

The models listed all use the same toner: CF258A and CF258X
